Job summary

Tamarisk Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and routine service for apartments and common areas. The role supports the Facilities Director and on-site leadership, handling mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks with a strong emphasis on safety and resident service.

Responsibilities include managing work orders, coordinating with vendors, and performing apartment turns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years’ experience in multi-family housing or residential living maintenance.
• Experience assisting vendors in routine maintenance or repairs.
• Must possess the skills necessary to complete routine apartment-home repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of facility maintenance duties across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and related systems.
• Create and follow a preventative maintenance schedule and coordinate with outside vendors as needed.
• Manage resident service requests and complete work orders using the system.
• Assist with apartment turns and life-safety tasks as required.
• Communicate issues to Facilities Director or Site Executive Director and inspect equipment for problems.
