Job summary

Roundhouse is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our multifamily properties in top condition in Boise, ID. The role covers hands-on repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and pool/spa systems, with on-call rotation and safety compliance at the core.

You will work with the Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize tasks, document work, and ensure high-quality finishes while maintaining property standards and curb appeal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year in general maintenance and repair work.
• Working understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, CPO, and carpentry systems.
• Strong communication and customer-service mindset.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk long periods, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all weather.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and property management software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain upkeep, repair, and overall health of the property.
• Handle hands-on repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and pool/spa systems.
• Respond quickly to work orders and complete to a high-quality finish.
• Walk the property to catch maintenance issues early and ensure safety and health codes.
• Protect curb appeal by keeping grounds, exteriors, and common areas clean and functional.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize tasks, approve purchases, and coordinate vendors.
• Keep clear records of materials, hours, and completion status.
• Take turns in after-hours on-call rotation and snow/ice removal.
• Stay current with maintenance software to ensure orders are up to date.
• Follow safety procedures in the Employee Handbook, SOPs, OSHA standards, and on-equipment labels.
