Job summary

BH Management, LLC is seeking a Service Technician I to assist with oversight of physical assets and ensure customer satisfaction at our on-site property. The role involves diagnosing problems, making repairs, and assisting with apartment make-readies and preventive maintenance.

The position requires 6 months to 1 year of general maintenance experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to perform manual tasks under supervision. HVAC knowledge and owning your hand tools are also expected.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year general maintenance and safety experience.
• Basic computer skills/knowledge required to perform job functions.
• Regularly performs manual, task-oriented work under direct supervision.
• High School or GED (General Education Diploma) is a plus.
• Working knowledge of HVAC. Required to provide own (industry specific) hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Use industry-specific technology to ensure repairs and replacements are completed timely and units are move-in ready.
• Complete maintenance requests, replacements, and upkeep in common areas and externals, including HVAC troubleshooting and make-readies.
• Identify and report hazardous conditions to managers and ensure safety standards are followed.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and documentation per BH guidelines.
• Maintain and secure property-issued tools.
• Post notices and communicate with residents as needed.
• Share on-call responsibilities with the maintenance team.
• Respond to resident requests per company standards.
• Follow OSHA and safety requirements and internal policies.
