Job summary

BH Management, LLC is seeking a Service Technician I to assist with oversight of the property’s physical assets and to ensure resident satisfaction. You will help diagnose problems, perform general repairs, and support apartment make-readies, preventive maintenance, and construction projects.

Working under the supervision of the Community Manager and Service Manager, you will follow safety guidelines, use industry tools, and maintain records of maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of general maintenance and safety experience.
• Basic computer skills to perform job functions.
• Regularly performs manual, task-oriented work under direct supervision.
• High School or GED is a plus.
• Working knowledge of HVAC.
• Must provide own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Uses industry-specific technology to ensure repairs are completed timely to restore units to move-in ready condition.
• Completes maintenance requests and upkeep including exterior grounds and common areas.
• Troubleshoots HVAC and assists with make-readies.
• Identifies and reports hazardous conditions to Community Manager and Service Manager.
• Ensures preventive maintenance programs are documented.
• Maintains the security of all property-issued tools.
• Posts notices to vacate and communicates with residents as needed.
• Shares on-call duties with the maintenance team and responds to resident requests.
