Job summary

FCI Residential, part of Florida Crystals Corporation’s real estate division, seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform general repairs across a residential community. You will handle carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, appliance repair, pool maintenance, and HVAC tasks, while assisting with preventive maintenance and make-ready processes.

Role requires ability to travel within the community, valid driver’s license, and a commitment to safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

Formal training or experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, appliance repair, pool maintenance, HVAC refurbishing.
Willingness to pitch in beyond repairs, including janitorial, grounds maintenance, painting.
Ability to assist Maintenance Supervisor, Property Manager and Regional Manager as needed.
High School diploma or GED preferred; English required; HVAC certification.

Responsibilities

Prompt and courteous handling of resident service requests.
Prepare vacant apartments for new residents according to schedule.
Assist Maintenance Supervisor with preventative maintenance programs.
Maintain safe workshop and storage areas and inventory.
Repair and maintain central air conditioning equipment.
Maintain, repair or replace air conditioning compressors.
Care for all equipment and supplies owned by the community.
Follow OSHA standards and safety policies; participate in monthly safety training.
Travel within the community with valid driver's license.
Position is physically demanding.
