Job summary

Cottonwood Residential seeks a Maintenance Technician II to repair and maintain apartment homes and common areas in our Tampa, FL communities. The role requires diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and delivering strong resident service.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in multifamily maintenance, EPA Type II/Universal certification, and a valid driver's license. The position involves evenings, weekends, and on‑call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA Certification Type II or Universal required.
• 2+ years of experience in multifamily property maintenance required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool/spa maintenance, and appliance repair.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in occupied and vacant apartment homes across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry repairs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues; escalate complex repairs as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and apartment homes.
• Service and maintain HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related components.
• Assist with make-ready processes to prepare homes for new residents.
