Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs in a multifamily setting. You will diagnose and fix HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and lock issues while preparing apartments for move-in.

The role requires 1–3 years of relevant experience, HVAC competence, EPA Type II or Universal certification (within 90 days), and a valid driver’s license. Growth and advancement are core to the MAA opportunity.

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property maintenance or repair.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required at hire or within 90 days.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to keep apartment homes and facilities in good condition.
• Prepare apartments for move-in, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair HVAC units, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and locks.
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and update residents after repairs.
