Job summary

Franklin Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair property buildings and grounds, diagnosing issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related systems. The role involves responding to resident work orders, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety and cleanliness of equipment and work areas.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, possibly 1–3 years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification is preferred; CAMT is recommended.
• Fair Housing Certification required within 1 day of hire.
• Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive to daily activities.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds regularly; may lift more with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC repairs, carpentry, appliance repairs, and related tasks.
• Respond to resident work order requests and notify management of completion or delays due to back-ordered supplies.
• Handle daily repair and upkeep of the community and perform punch work in vacant units prior to new occupancy.
• Maintain inventory and care of all supplies and tools owned by the community and the company.
• Keep work areas and tools clean; ensure upkeep of company-provided tools.
