Job summary

American Property Management is seeking a maintenance technician to support multifamily communities with unit turnover, grounds upkeep, and resident service. You will perform repairs, perform safety checks, manage inventory, and ensure on-time turnover of rental units across several properties in the Seattle area.

The role requires 1+ year of maintenance experience in multifamily or hotel settings, reliable transportation, and a focus on quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in multifamily or hotel maintenance
• 2+ years of experience preferred
• Trades experience will be considered
• Must be experienced in unit turn from start to finish
• Must track and maintain inventory
• Provide your own basic hand tools – company provides power tools
• Experience providing great customer service to residents/customers is required
• HVAC certification preferred
• CPO certification preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Demonstrates attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Proficient communication and teamwork
• Positive, collaborative attitude and pride in work
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking, writing)

Responsibilities

• Assist in getting units rent-ready and ensure safety compliance
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and storage spaces daily for curb appeal
• Paint and clean as needed to support timely unit turnover
• Mow lawns, trim landscaping, and keep entryways and driveways clear
• Ensure equipment is serviced regularly for safe operation
• Be available for on-call emergencies or snow removal
• Follow all company policies and procedures per Operations Manual
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
