Job summary

The Franklin Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Overland Gardens property in Landover, MD. The role covers upkeep of buildings, grounds and amenities, with hands-on maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and related systems.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related experience, with HVAC certification preferred. On-call availability is required, and property safety standards must be followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong aptitude in general maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property buildings and grounds to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Diagnose problems and perform repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and appliance areas.
• Respond promptly to resident work orders and notify management after completion.
