Job summary

TAM Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform work orders, repairs, and preventive maintenance across a multifamily community in Houston, TX. You will support the Lead Maintenance Technician and Community Manager to uphold safety standards and ensure efficient operation of the property.

The role requires experience in apartment maintenance and HVAC certification, with a plus for CPO certification.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification required.
• Previous apartment maintenance experience is required.
• CPO certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with maintenance tools and equipment.
• Ability to read technical manuals and safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders and repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Estimate time, materials, and scope of repairs when needed.
• Respond to maintenance needs across multiple disciplines, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Oversee and coordinate work performed by outside contractors when required.
• Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws including Fair Housing regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and unit turns to maintain property standards.
