Job summary

Lynd Management Group, LLC is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs across a multifamily property in Houston. You will respond to service requests, maintain HVAC and preventive care, and prep apartments for move-in, contributing to safety, aesthetics, and resident satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on problem-solving, punctual service, and a commitment to quality work as part of a team under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years in facility or multifamily maintenance.
• HVAC preventive maintenance experience.
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, and painting.
• Ability to safely operate maintenance tools.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.
• Certified Pool Operator certification preferred.
• Technical school or military training is a plus.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders accurately and on time.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and perform preventive maintenance.
• Complete plumbing repairs, including repairing leaks and removing clogs.
• Perform minor electrical repairs and replace light fixtures and related components.
• Repair appliances, locks, cabinets, walls, flooring, and other apartment features.
• Complete painting, touch-ups, and other apartment make-ready duties.
• Inspect vacant apartments and help ensure they are ready for move-in.
• Maintain pools, equipment, common areas, grounds, maintenance rooms, and other property facilities.
• Complete preventive maintenance projects and maintain accurate service records.
• Clean the work area after completing repairs and communicate work-order status to the appropriate staff.
• Report major repairs, safety hazards, and contractor needs to the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
• Maintain an appropriate inventory of tools, parts, chemicals, and maintenance supplies.
• Coordinate with approved vendors when assigned.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies.
• Safely operate tools, equipment, and a motor vehicle when transporting materials between work locations.
