Job summary

RangeWater is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support property upkeep and make-ready efforts. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure timely completion of service requests at our Birmingham, AL community.

Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years of apartment maintenance experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Entrata/Yardi/One Site. EPA certifications are required, and you may work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; 1–3 years apartment maintenance experience preferred.
Strong communication and customer service skills required.
Proficiency with property management software (Entrata/Yardi/One Site) required.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned work orders within 24–48 hours and perform routine upkeep.
Complete the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections and punch lists.
Support cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.
Access materials and tools from the property maintenance shop and track inventory.
Document work and maintain accurate records of service requests.
May inspect work by contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
Adhere to safety policies and complete required safety training and certifications.
Demonstrate respectful customer service to residents and coworkers and handle inquiries promptly.
Assist with routine property inspections and other duties as assigned.
