Job summary

Harbor Group Management is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations for multifamily communities. You will lead the maintenance team, handle service requests, perform preventative maintenance, manage inventory, and coordinate with vendors and contractors.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, customer service excellence, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining Harbor Group’s safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience in multifamily property maintenance, including turnover/make-ready processes.
• At least one year of supervisory or team leadership experience is required.
• Expertise in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, or appliance repair.
• EPA Universal or HVAC certification based upon property requirements.
• Proficiency in diagnosing maintenance issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Property Management software and Maintenance Ticketing System experience is a must.
• Customer-service oriented with residents and vendors.
• Available for emergency on-call, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver's license for operating golf carts or vehicles on property if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and guide the maintenance team to complete tasks on time.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, HVAC, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders per standards and timelines.
• Oversee make-ready process: inspections, punch lists, vendor scheduling, quality checks.
• Ensure common areas, exteriors, and grounds are clean, safe, and visually appealing.
• Schedule and supervise in-house and contractor work.
• Perform and document monthly preventative maintenance.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and order materials within budget.
• Ensure safety protocols; maintain MSDS sheets and OSHA compliance.
• Inspect work for quality and compliance with specs.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents.
