Job summary

Pennrose Management Company is seeking a Leasing Specialist/Property Manager to market and lease assigned properties and provide resident services across Maryland. You will develop policies and procedures under supervision to drive occupancy and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities include coordinating open houses, tours, processing applications, managing deposits, and ensuring compliance with HUD programs and Fair Housing laws, while maintaining accuracy in records and reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2+ years experience in multi-family property management.
• Experience with Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program and/or HOPE 6 preferred.
• Knowledge of HUD programs including HOPE 6 and project-based Section 8.
• Proficiency in Yardi preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, including Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Requires a valid driver’s license and ability to travel between properties.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate leasing events such as open houses and tours.
• Assist with development and implementation of resident services programming.
• Monitor market conditions affecting leasing and operations.
• Manage answering service and ensure excellent customer service.
• Notify residents of tenancy issues and coordinate move-out processes.
• File eviction court documents and attend hearings as landlord’s representative.
• Oversee security deposit administration and refunds.
• Maintain building security measures and incident reporting.
• Process property expenditures for approval.
• Lead property tours and follow up on referrals and inquiries.
• Maintain reference book with property features, vacancies, and promotions.
• Review applications for manager approval and maintain filing systems.
• Monitor landlord-tenant relations and mediate disputes when necessary.
• Utilize maintenance software to track work orders and inspections.
