Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for Heights at Jackson Village, a 187-unit affordable housing community in Fredericksburg, VA. You will perform maintenance across rental units, common areas, office, grounds and parking areas, and participate in on-call rotation.

The role requires 1–3 years of experience, HVAC certification, and strong customer service and communication skills. You will diagnose and repair appliances, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems while keeping

Qualifications

1–3 years of relevant work experience.
General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.
HVAC certification required.
Prior maintenance experience at a multifamily property.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic familiarity with computers/tablets.
On-call activity availability.
Ability to speak and understand basic English.
Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
Complete assigned service requests and repairs per company procedures.
Ensure vacant apartments are market-ready per standards.
Perform maintenance orders for preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and unit inspections.
Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management.
Be available for on-call during off-hours as scheduled.
