Bell Partners in Durham, NC is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the community grounds and keep properties clean. You will work under the Maintenance Manager to handle daily upkeep of the property, buildings, and surrounding areas, ensuring safety and appearance standards.

The role requires at least 2+ years of grounds keeping and landscaping experience, 18+ years of age, and potentially HVAC/EPA certifications depending on the community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• 2+ years of experience in grounds keeping in a multi-family environment.
• 2+ years of experience in landscaping.
• HVAC/EPA certifications may be required in communities, based on staffing levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the grounds of the assigned property.
• Maintain cleanliness outside each building and the grounds surrounding each building.
• Keep a uniform landscaped look by removing debris around buildings and breezeways.
• Clean out building gutters.
• Plant and tend to flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs; mow lawns; apply fertilizer and insecticides; use pest control equipment.
• Follow procedures for maintenance of tools and equipment and basic repairs as necessary.
• Clean and remove trash.
• May perform pool maintenance duties.
• Shovel snow when necessary.
• Spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup.
