Job summary

Middleburg Communities is seeking a Project Engineer to support multiple multifamily construction projects. The role provides technical and field support to the Project Manager, Superintendent, and subcontractors, helping ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will manage submittals, RFIs, project drawings, site meetings, and close-out documentation while coordinating with the team to track punch lists and turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CM/Engineering/Business or related field preferred.
• Procore knowledge or experience is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and coordinate with others.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety program compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Manage project documents, RFIs, submittals, drawings, and distribute updates to the team.
• Maintain a master list of sketches, specifications, and drawings throughout the project.
• Oversee submittal and RFI processes including logging, tracking, and distribution.
• Support documentation of site meetings and maintain electronic as-built drawings.
• Assist in permit tracking, inspections scheduling, and subcontractor coordination.
• Compile and transmit close-out documentation and project binders.
• Participate in project turnover and punch-list tracking for subcontractors.
