Job summary

Middleburg Communities is seeking a Project Engineer to support multifamily construction projects. You will assist the Project Manager, Superintendent, and subcontractors with field and technical tasks, while enforcing safety and coordinating documentation.

You will manage submittals, RFIs, drawings, and site records, ensuring accuracy and timely updates. Strong communication and organization are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; familiarity with Procore a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Effective collaboration with team members.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety program per policies and laws.
• Manage documents: RFIs, submittals, sketches, inspections; notify updates.
• Maintain master list of sketches, specifications, drawings.
• Oversee submittal process: log, review, submit, track.
• Oversee RFI process: create RFIs, submit, log, track, distribute.
• Support documentation of site meetings.
• Maintain electronic as-built drawings; redlined plans.
• Support team with documentation, permits, scheduling inspections, subcontractors.
• Assist in collecting and organizing close-out documentation.
• Participate in project turnover process.
• Track punch list completion and distribute to subs.
