Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Assistant Superintendent in the Boston area to support the Superintendent on multifamily construction projects. You will help coordinate site activities, supervise field personnel, and ensure work aligns with schedules and budget while maintaining quality workmanship.

This role offers a clear path for advancement within a growing GC. Ideal candidates bring hands-on commercial construction experience, strong organizational skills, and a drive to grow with the team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience in the field for a general contractor.
• Multifamily, residential, or large-scale commercial construction experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, schedules, and sequencing.
• Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors and project teams.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in coordinating all site construction activities and supervising field personnel.
• Oversee daily operations at the site including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment.
• Read and understand blueprints, building codes, and project scheduling.
• Ensure onsite personnel comply with project procedures and safety programs.
• Manage subcontractors to ensure timely completion and address issues.
• Work with project team to resolve obstacles and maintain progress.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship and schedules.
• Report project status and issues to the Superintendent.
