Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Assistant Superintendent to join our growing Boston-based team on high-profile multifamily projects. You will support the Superintendent, supervise field personnel, coordinate activities, and help deliver projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has hands-on commercial construction experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and a drive to advance in the field. OSHA 30 and a construction management degree are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience in the field for a general contractor.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred but not required; OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in coordinating all site construction activities and supervising field personnel to meet schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Oversee daily operations at the site, coordinate workers, materials and equipment, ensure adherence to specs, schedules and budgets.
• Read and understand blueprints, building codes, and project scheduling.
• Ensure all onsite personnel comply with safety programs and work rules.
• Manage subcontractors and address issues or delays.
• Collaborate with the project team to resolve obstacles and ensure progress.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Report project status and issues to the Superintendent.
