Job summary

Butterball seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician in Raeford, NC to support mechanical and electrical systems in our food processing plant. You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment, interpret diagrams and work orders, and backfill production equipment as needed.

This role requires 2 years in maintenance, a high school diploma (GED accepted), and relevant industrial maintenance certification.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in at least one maintenance discipline
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Certificate/Diploma in Industrial Maintenance or similar area strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide range of tasks involving electrical, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding and fabrication to keep equipment and processes running.
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting skills.
• Performs preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication and blade changes.
• Disassembles and reassembles equipment for plant improvements and safety initiatives.
• Supports and trains IMTs, Machine Operators and Production Associates in preventive maintenance.
