Job summary

Mittera in New York is seeking a Sheetfed Second Press Operator to assist with setup and operation of an offset printing press, ensuring job specs are met and deadlines achieved.

You will support the Press Operator and crew, perform wash-up and maintenance, and monitor ink usage and quality throughout the run. A high school diploma and 1–3+ years of multicolor press experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3+ years of multicolor web second press operator experience preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions and job tickets.
• Strong math and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to work under deadlines and pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain feeder loaded with sheets of paper at all times.
• Assist Lead Press Operator in press operations and setup.
• Perform wash-up, cleaning, and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Hang plates, install packing, and mix fountain solutions as needed.
• Record ink usage and inspect plates and press sheets for quality.
