Job summary

Mittera Creative + Tech seeks a Sheetfed Second Press Operator to assist in the setup and operation of a printing press. You will work with the Press Operator and crew to meet customer specs and deadlines while controlling quality and reducing waste.

Responsibilities include reading tickets, preparing equipment, maintaining ink systems, and performing routine maintenance. OSHA/EPA compliance and safety rules apply, with standard hours varying by shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3+ years of experience as a multicolor web second press operator preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions and memos and interpret specifications.

Responsibilities

• Keep feeder loaded with sheets at all times.
• Read and understand the job ticket, layout sheet, artwork, and specifications before starting.
• Assist Lead Press Operator in manual and machine tasks on an offset printing press and related equipment.
• Assist in wash-up and cleaning procedures and in setup/make-ready of press and equipment.
• Hangs plates, installs blankets, fills ink fountains, and mixes fountain solutions at proper pH.
