Responsibilities

• Read job tickets, layout sheets, and artwork before starting.
• Know setup and maintenance procedures for the press.
• Program color standards into CPC and adjust colors.
• Achieve color OK to proofs under supervision.
• Interpret color bars and marks to ensure print quality.
• Maintain ink and water balance for print quality.
• Operate press components: make-readies, folder, register color.
• Review job orders for quantities and specs.
• Pull proofs to verify ink coverage and alignment.
• Maintain proper web tension with supervision.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance.
