Job summary

Mittera Creative + Tech in Beaver Dam, WI is seeking a Sheetfed Press Operator to set up, operate, and maintain a sheetfed press on 1st shift. You will ensure top quality, efficiency, and safety in a fast-paced printing environment.

Requirements include 3–5 years of sheetfed press experience, strong print production knowledge, and the ability to read job tickets. Training and mentoring of newer staff may be involved.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of sheetfed press operating experience.
• Strong understanding of print production processes, color management, and registration.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production specifications.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Basic computer skills for production reporting and job tracking.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor sheetfed printing press equipment to produce high-quality materials.
• Review job tickets and verify production specifications before starting each job.
• Perform press make-readies, including plate changes, ink adjustments, and feeder setup.
• Monitor print quality and adjust color and registration as needed to meet specs.
• Troubleshoot press issues and minimize downtime to maximize productivity.
• Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of press equipment.
