Job summary

Pep Boys in the Birmingham, AL area seeks a Territory Manager to oversee up to ~15 service centers, leading through Store Managers to drive people and performance. This is a hands-on, high-touch leadership role requiring frequent store visits, decisive problem solving, and a relentless focus on operational and financial results.

A critical focus is creating an outstanding customer experience by coaching Store Managers and teams, providing feedback, and ensuring service and financial expectations

Qualifications

• Multi-location or multi-unit management experience in retail/service operations.
• Proven people leadership with coaching and communication skills.
• Strong ability to resolve operational challenges quickly and effectively.
• Solid business acumen with P&L, staffing and performance management experience.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the territory.
• High school diploma required; associates/technical degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience; 3–5 years in automotive service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Store Managers, serving as primary operations partner.
• Drive sales growth and profitability, monitor store P&L and EBITDA.
• Visit stores regularly to coach, provide feedback, and resolve issues.
• Drive people initiatives: hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management.
• Ensure consistent customer experience and uphold service standards.
• Champion compliance with policies, safety standards, and service expectations.
• Partner with Market Leader and corporate teams to provide tools and insights.
• Develop Store Managers into leaders who build engaged, high-performing teams.
