Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a registered nurse for a divisional-based, non-benefited role to provide direct patient care across multiple areas within the scope of expertise. The position requires 60 hours of availability in a 4-week schedule with decreased holiday and weekend commitment and no on-call responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has an Associate Degree in Nursing and at least two years of relevant clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate Degree in Nursing.
• At least two years’ experience in procedural nursing areas or LPN experience with director approval.
• Proficiency in developing nursing care plans and evaluating outcomes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; effective planning and organization.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and formulate nursing diagnoses using the Nursing Process.
• Plan, implement, and coordinate written nursing plans of care.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments per protocol.
• Coordinate patient care with health team members and families.
• Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning.
