Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care across multiple departments in a divisional role with 60 hours in a 4-week schedule and reduced holiday/weekend commitments. No on-call requirement and under general supervision.

Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing, Maryland RN license, and BLS certification; ALS/PALS/NRP may be required for specialty areas. Two years of procedural nursing experience or LPN with director approval may be needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited school.
• At least two years’ experience in nursing procedural areas or LPN experience with director approval.
• Current RN registration with Maryland Board of Nursing and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: collect data, diagnose, set priorities, and reassess as needed.
• Planning: write nursing care plans and coordinate post‑discharge care.
• Implementation: administer meds/IV therapy, initiate emergencies, coordinate staff.
• Patient Care Coordination: manage daily assignments and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Teaching & Quality Improvement: document teaching and discharge planning, monitor performance.
• Professional Excellence: participate in RN3 activities, serve as charge RN or preceptor when able.
