GBMC HealthCare is seeking a flexible, non-benefited nursing role to provide direct patient care across multiple areas within its area of expertise. The position requires 60 hours of availability in a 4-week schedule with reduced holiday and weekend commitments, and no on-call duties under general supervision.

Required is an Associate Degree in Nursing with at least two years’ experience in nursing procedures (or LPN with director approval).

Qualifikationen

• Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• At least two years’ experience in nursing procedural areas (e.g. Periop, IR, Cath Lab, Endo, WOSC) or LPN experience with director approval.
• Proficiency in developing nursing plans of care, implementing nursing care and evaluating outcomes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective planning and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Experience with computer programs.
• Demonstrates skill in patient experience and service recovery.

Aufgaben

• Compiles database and formulates nursing diagnoses, prioritizes patient care needs and reassesses as condition changes.
• Initiates and updates a written nursing plan of care and coordinates hospital and post-discharge care with patient/family and health team.
• Performs clinical nursing skills, administers medications and IV therapy, initiates emergency procedures as needed and documents status in the medical record.
• Manages daily patient assignments and delegates tasks to ancillary personnel to ensure quality care.
• Develops patient teaching materials and participates in discharge planning and education programs.
• May serve as a charge RN or precept new staff when competent.
