Job summary

Dollar General seeks a District Manager to plan and lead the activities of stores within the assigned area, with full P&L responsibility and adherence to company objectives and policies.

You will drive area sales growth, ensure superior customer service, manage multi-unit operations, and recruit and develop store teams while traveling weekly in a company-provided vehicle. This role supports Dollar General's mission of Serving Others and requires strong leadership across store teams.

Qualifications

• Four+ years retail management experience with progressively more responsibility, managing multi-unit operations with full P&L responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Big-box retail management and/or equivalent education and experience combination will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead store teams by ensuring a culture that supports the company mission and values.
• Drive area annual sales growth to meet or exceed targets through effective ordering and flow processes.
• Ensure superior customer service and excellent inventory management across stores.
• Plan and execute company objectives and scheduling to maximize performance and productivity.
• Recruit, train, and develop employees; protect company assets and control expenses.
• Communicate divisional priorities to store teams and identify new business opportunities.
• Travel weekly in a company-provided vehicle with a valid driver's license.
