Job summary

Aramark at Cleveland State University is hiring a Multi-Unit Line Cook to bring recipes to life using fresh ingredients and high-end equipment. You will be immersed in a fast-paced culinary environment, creating diverse dishes while following safety guidelines and standardized recipes.

You will set up stations, measure ingredients, and work to deliver quality meals with consistent presentation. The role emphasizes food safety, teamwork, and guest service on a campus dining team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various methods on meats and vegetables
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to guidelines
• Store food properly following safety policies
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor
• Adhere to safety policies and protect company assets
