Job summary

Hunt Companies, Inc. seeks Maintenance Technicians at multiple levels to support maintenance and readiness of housing communities in Virginia. You’ll perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and make-ready work across HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electric trades.

Outdoor work, tight spaces, and safety practices are part of daily duties. Entry through senior levels require increasing expertise and certification, with opportunities to mentor a team and lead efficient maintenance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Able to work outside in all weather and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Team player with attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse people.
• Basic computer knowledge and daily use of technology platforms.
• Valid driver's license in-state and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests for furnaces, AC, water heaters, plumbing, carpentry, and other maintenance items.
• Perform skilled work across trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, locksmith) with basic troubleshooting.
• Document all work in accordance with company policy and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain tools and equipment in ready repair; use PPE and follow safety practices.
• Follow preventive maintenance programs and replace filters as required.
• Assist in making ready vacated units including painting, flooring, drywall, fixtures, and exterior work as needed.
• Perform emergency maintenance for water leaks, backups, fires, weather damage and other incidents.
