Altus Technology Solutions is seeking a skilled General Maintenance Worker to support facilities, equipment, and grounds maintenance at Melrose Air Force Range. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance across multiple trades to keep buildings and systems safe, functional, and mission-ready.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 2–4 years of related maintenance experience, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in an active operational environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of related maintenance experience and/or formal vocational or technical training.
• Working knowledge of multiple building and utility trades.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an active operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
• Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines run smoothly and buildings remain in good condition.
• Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions.
