Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in high-volume payroll processing.
• Proven experience with multi-state payroll.
• Strong background in union payroll administration.
• Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, UKG, Paycom).
• High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume payroll accurately and on schedule across multiple states and jurisdictions.
• Administer union payroll, including handling union dues, benefits, wage scales, and collective bargaining agreement provisions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Maintain accurate payroll records, including earnings, deductions, garnishments, and benefits.
• Reconcile payroll data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
• Manage multi-state tax registrations, filings, and reporting requirements.
• Partner with HR, Accounting, and union representatives to ensure accurate interpretation and application of payroll policies.
• Prepare and review payroll reports for internal stakeholders and audits.
• Support year-end activities, including W-2 processing and tax reconciliations.
• Stay current with evolving payroll laws, tax requirements, and union regulations.
