Job summary

Power Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage accurate, timely payroll for both union and non-union staff across multiple states.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration with HR, Finance, and operations. You will ensure correct deductions, tax compliance, and maintain confidential records while supporting audits, year-end activities, and regulatory updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of payroll processing experience.
• Multi-state payroll experience required.
• Hands-on experience with payroll and timekeeping systems.
• Experience processing payroll deductions, taxes, garnishments, benefits.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and wage-hour requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for union and non-union employees, including wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
• Review timekeeping and time records for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure correct withholdings and deductions per agreements and regulations.
• Prepare payroll registers, reconciliation reports, and filings.
• Maintain organized, confidential payroll records.
• Respond to payroll questions and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Support payroll tax filings, garnishments, and benefits deductions.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and operations on lifecycle events and changes.
• Assist with audits, year-end activities, and reporting.
