Job summary

CSM Companies, Inc. in Madison, WI is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage the accurate bi-weekly and monthly payrolls for 1,000+ employees across multiple states.

This role supports weekly payroll processing for North and South pay cycles and ensures compliance with wage and hour laws, benefits deductions, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree (Bachelor preferred), five years of payroll experience, and proficiency with HRIS systems such as ADP, UKG, Paycom

Qualifications

• Five years of payroll experience, multi-state preferred.
• Experience processing payroll for 1,000+ employees.
• Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws and payroll controls.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly and monthly payrolls for hourly, salaried and commissioned employees.
• Review timecards, overtime, garnishments, and deductions for accuracy.
• Process off-cycle payrolls, bonuses, commissions, and final pay.
• Ensure payroll deadlines and cutoff schedules are met.
• Generate routine payroll reports and maintain confidentiality.
