The ideal candidate has 3+ years of payroll experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and is proficient in Excel. The position offers an hourly rate of $28–$32 and requires on-site work in Arizona.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience processing multi-state payroll for 1,000+ employees.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, garnishments, and compliance requirements.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and data manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for 1,000+ employees across multiple states.
• Ensure payroll accuracy and on-time processing with regulatory compliance.
• Audit payroll data including timecards, earnings, deductions, and taxes.
• Process changes: hires, terminations, pay rate changes, bonuses, commissions, retroactive pay.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and employee files.
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and payroll questions.
• Handle wage garnishments, child support orders, levies, and other deductions.
• Assist with year-end payroll activities including W-2s and audits.
• Collaborate with HR, Accounting and management for accurate data.
