Job summary

Beacon Hill is hiring a payroll professional to process multi-state payroll for hourly employees, ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration. The role involves handling adjustments, garnishments, tax levies, and compliance with wage and hour regulations.

The candidate will maintain payroll records, respond to agency inquiries, and serve as the main contact for payroll questions. Experience with ADP Workforce Now or ADP Vantage and strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of payroll processing experience for 1k+ employees.
• Experience processing payroll for a multi-state workforce.
• Working knowledge of federal and state wage, hour, and payroll tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state payroll for hourly employees, ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration.
• Manage payroll adjustments, including retroactive payments, manual checks, and payroll corrections.
• Administer and maintain wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other court-ordered deductions.
• Review payroll practices and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure adherence to organizational policies and compliance requirements.
• Respond to agency requests and inquiries related to child support, DSS documentation, and payroll matters.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee payroll questions, including direct deposit, self-service portal access, tax forms, and pay discrepancies.
• Perform payroll reporting, audits, reconciliations, and data analysis on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end basis.
• Assist with general ledger support, payroll account reconciliations, and payroll-related journal entries.
• Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding payroll transactions, W-2s, garnishments, and tax documentation.
• Coordinate distribution of payroll-related resources and employee payment solutions as needed.
• Support special payroll projects and process improvement initiatives.
