The role involves processing payroll, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining payroll records, and collaborating with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate and timely pay.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of payroll experience, familiarity with ADP/Paycom/UKG/Workday, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience processing multi-state payroll and understanding payroll tax regulations.
• Knowledge of payroll systems such as ADP, Paycom, UKG, Workday, or similar platforms.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with large data sets.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
• Experience reconciling payroll reports and supporting audits.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payrolls for a multi-state employee population.
• Review and audit payroll data for accuracy of wages, deductions, commissions, and bonuses.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manage payroll changes including new hires, terminations, promotions, and compensation adjustments.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and timekeeping.
• Reconcile payroll reports and assist with payroll-related GL entries.
• Prepare payroll tax filings and support year-end processes including W-2s.
• Partner with HR and benefits teams to ensure accurate deductions and data.
• Assist with payroll audits and provide supporting documentation.
