Job summary

Duncan-Parnell, Inc. is seeking an HR Administrator to manage multi-state payroll using Paylocity, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and seamless HRIS integration. You will work with HR, Accounting, and department leaders to maintain data integrity and timely payroll processing across locations.

The role requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong communication to support payroll audits and regulatory reporting while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Extensive working knowledge of Paylocity payroll and HRIS software.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll processing, wage and hour laws, and federal/state tax withholding requirements.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and compensation data.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet strict payroll deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain payroll and tax concepts to non-technical staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state, bi-weekly and monthly payroll in Paylocity for hourly, salaried, and multi-location staff.
• Review and validate timekeeping data, new hires, terminations, status changes, garnishments and other inputs before payroll runs.
• Calculate and process off-cycle payments, retroactive pay, bonuses, commissions, and final paychecks per state requirements.
• Reconcile payroll registers, GL postings, and payroll-related accounts around each cycle.
• Serve as primary contact for employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
