Job summary

HGA is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist in Minneapolis to manage multi-state payroll and benefits for about 1,100 employees. You will ensure accurate payroll processing, administer benefits, and support compliance, reporting, and system integrity in a collaborative HR team.

You will serve as a trusted resource on pay, deductions, and benefits while partnering with HR, Finance, and vendors to maintain data accuracy and timely processes across states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of payroll and/or benefits administration experience.
• Experience processing multi-state payroll and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel and payroll reporting skills.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local payroll requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state payroll components and off-cycle payrolls.
• Administer employee benefits enrollments and deductions.
• Balance and reconcile payroll and benefit transactions and reports.
• Prepare payroll registers, and respond to pay questions from employees.
• Support audits, W-2s, and year-end payroll activities.
• Maintain accurate records in HRIS and timekeeping systems.
