Job summary

ASR International Corporation in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a Payroll Associate to join our on-site team. This role handles multi-state payroll, collaborates with the accounting group, and supports timekeeping, tax calculations, and reports.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance, 3–5 years of ADP experience (Workforce Now preferred), and strong Excel skills. You’ll assure accuracy, compliance, and timely payroll processing across entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of direct experience using ADP software.
• Experience processing weekly payroll across multiple states.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate reports.
• Prepare and submit invoices to clients; ensure timely payments.
• Collect employee timesheets and enter into payroll system.
• Prepare payroll data for outside processing service.
• Prepare journal entries and month-end reconciliations.
• Reconcile payroll taxes, 401(k), and related accounts.
• Prepare financial reports and analyze account trends.
• Collaborate with accounting team to ensure compliance and timely payments.
