Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Medical Coder with multi-specialty experience in the United States. You will review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to ensure compliant billing and optimal reimbursement.

The role requires 2+ years of professional coding, familiarity with modifiers, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, and EMR/Practice Management systems. CPC/CCS/CCA certifications are preferred and accuracy is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional medical coding experience.
• Experience across multiple specialties.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and modifiers.

Responsibilities

• Review provider documentation and medical records for accurate coding.
• Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on services documented.
• Apply modifiers and understand modifier-specific billing requirements.
• Code across multiple specialties and service types.
• Review notes to ensure documentation supports codes and level of service billed.
• Identify missing or conflicting documentation and request clarification.
