Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a full-time Certified Coder II to translate medical narratives into precise ICD-10 and CPT coding for inpatient, outpatient, and complex records in a remote setting.

You will review accounts, maintain a coding accuracy rating of at least 95%, and ensure productivity while coding efficiently. Additionally, you will review and resolve claim edits for billing based on payer and auditor feedback.

Qualifications

• Formal education in ICD-9-CM/CPT coding, medical terminology, anatomy, pathophysiology, and disease processes
• At least 1 year of acute care coding experience
• Certification in RHIT, RHIA, or CCS

Responsibilities

• Reviews various medical accounts to assign accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes, ensuring documentation supports coding decisions
• Maintains a coding accuracy rating of at least 95% and meets productivity standards while coding medical records efficiently
• Reviews and resolves claim edits for billing purposes, making necessary corrections based on feedback from payers and auditors
