Job summary

Metropolitan Property Management, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled maintenance, repairs, and preventive work on assigned properties. You will support the Property Manager to ensure safety, functionality, and resident satisfaction.

Role requires carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC support basics, plus strong communication and dependability. Full-time, 30 hours/week, with comprehensive benefits and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift and move items exceeding 75 lbs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in property maintenance.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance tasks, including lighting and on-call repairs.
• Paint and surface prep for units, drywall repairs.
• Provide locksmith services.
• Carpentry work: doors, windows, cabinetry, gutters, and downspouts.
• Plumbing repairs (non-licensed) and minor leaks.
• Electrical repairs and light fixture installs.
• Maintain a wide range of tools.
