Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Relief Engineer to perform inspection, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, test, and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, lighting, and life safety systems in a Chicago commercial facility.

The role requires a valid Stationary Engineer’s license in Chicago, 2–5 years of related experience, and strong CMMS and safety knowledge. On-call duties and occasional flexible hours may apply to address emergencies.

Qualifications

Requires a valid Stationary Engineer’s license issued by the city of Chicago.
2–5 years related experience in commercial facility maintenance or equivalent.
Proven mechanical ability and aptitude.
Strong written and oral communication skills, able to document tasks clearly.
Familiarity with safety policies and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

Inspect, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and repair facility systems including HVAC, electrical, lighting, fire, life safety, boilers, and pumps.
Document tasks and equipment histories in CMMS with parts, hours, and responses.
Complete and input data for all work orders in a timely manner.
Coordinate with other vendors and teams while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
