Job summary

West Virginia Parkways Authority is seeking a TIC Manager 2 to oversee multiple Tourist Information Centers, Welcome Center, and craft shops on the West Virginia Turnpike. You will support the TIC Manager 3, coordinate scheduling, training, inventory, and reporting, and conduct site visits to ensure service quality and compliance.

This role requires supervisory experience, a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), and strong office software skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred in business, hospitality, or related field.
• Progressively responsible experience in travel-center/retail/hospitality or visitor-industry operations with supervisory exposure.
• Demonstrated ability to review work of others and produce accurate operational reports.
• Intermediate skill with common office productivity software.

Responsibilities

• Assist TIC Manager 3 in implementing SOPs across TIC locations, Welcome Center, and craft shops.
• Conduct regular shop visits to observe service, displays, and staffing; document findings and follow up with staff.
• Monitor sales effectiveness and displays; recommend resets or promotions.
• Oversee TIC Manager 1s: scheduling, reports, inventory discipline, and employee relations.
• Manage a shop in absence of a manager, or coordinate coverage; act as TIC Manager 3 during planned/unplanned absences.
• Coordinate work-hour schedules, training, inventories, and monthly district reporting.
• Support partnerships, events, and daily operations with partners and vendors.
