Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor for multi-site communities in Mill Valley, CA. You will oversee maintenance staff and vendors, ensure quality move-in and timely service, and uphold Avanath's commitment to resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of multifamily property maintenance experience.
• One year of supervisory experience required.
• Expertise in plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, electrical, and carpentry work is required.
• HVAC and CPO certifications are highly desired.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Very strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Solid interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must be available for on-call and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates strong resident relations and customer service by treating residents with respect and managing work orders with urgency.
• Coordinate, schedule, and respond to maintenance requests and work orders across properties.
• Ensure repairs and replacements are necessary for common areas and units.
• Assist with cost-control by repairing rather than replacing when possible and managing materials carefully.
• Inspect grounds and facilities daily to identify hazards and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies within budget guidelines and manage vendor bids.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs to extend asset life.
• Supervise maintenance staff, train crews, and schedule activities under the Community Manager.
• Ensure safety policies and OSHA standards are followed across maintenance operations.
