Job summary

Avanath Capital in San Rafael, CA, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead our on-site team across resident services and community upkeep.

You will oversee repairs, scheduling, vendor coordination, and safety compliance, ensuring timely responses to resident requests and adherence to budget.

The role requires 3+ years multifamily maintenance, supervisory experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and willingness to work on-call.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of multifamily property maintenance experience.
• One year of supervisory experience required.
• Expertise in plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, electrical, and carpentry work is required.
• HVAC and CPO certifications are highly desired.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Very strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Solid interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must be available for on-call and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate customer service by treating residents and staff with respect and handling requests promptly.
• Coordinate, schedule, and respond to resident and management requests and work orders.
• Inspect grounds and buildings daily to identify hazards and ensure safety.
• Manage maintenance inventory and keep records of service requests.
• Plan and supervise maintenance staff, train, and monitor progress.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance program to extend life of the community.
• Handle on-call emergencies as needed.
